Saint-Petersburg Business Contacts Centre (BIZKON)

The Bizkon Centre was incorporated in 1999. The Centre organizes matchmaking meetings and events for foreign companies and firms located in Saint Petersburg and the Leningrad region for cooperation in trade and development.

 

Our main partners are:

 

  • Saint-Petersburg Trade Development Centre, acts as Saint-Petersburg node of the United Nations Global Trade Point Network

  • Saint-Petersburg City and Leningrad Region administrations

  • Saint-Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Leningrad Region Chamber of Commerce

 

Basic services are:

  • Organization of seminars or/and B2B meetings with possible Russian partners. We pay special attention to careful screeming of the Russian companies which can be interesting to foreign participants of meetings.

  • Assistance in organization of transfer and accommodation.

  • Assistance in preparation of cultural programmes.

The Bizkon Centre is well-experienced in organizing such events for delegations from different countries (Finland, South Korea, Estonia, Germany and others). Main results of such events: your companies can get new Russian partners for cooperation and for increasing export possibilities.

St. Petersburg city in its foreign relations relies much on the Information business centers abroad. The main purpose of these centers is the promotion of St. Petersburg in foreign countries and assistance in international economic involveing the government bodies and organizations in foreign countries.

 

The Centers provide information about St. Petersburg. Their professional personnel ensures rapid feedback to enquiries and gives detailed information. The Centers render consulting and marketing services.

 

In addition to centers in Finland (towns of Kotka, Turku, Hameenlinna and Jyvaskyla) and in Estonia (towns of Rakvere and Kohtla-Jarve) the Committee for External Relations has established centers in Germany (Hamburg), France (Paris), Ukraine (Kiev), USA (New-York), Latvia (Riga), Armenia (Yerevan), Italy (Osimo), Norway (Oslo).

 

Developing and establishing St. Petersburg Information business centers abroad is an important part of the activities of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg. Since 2004, this activity has been regulated by the Decrees of the City Government in which general objectives and goals are formulated and also the regulations for establishing and functioning of these centers are described.

 

From the geographical point of view Finland and Estonia are the nearest to Russia members of the European Union. This explained an intensive development of economic relations and crossborder cooperation of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region with these countries.

 

St. Petersburg information Business Centers established in these countries play an important role in the development of this cooperation. At present, in Finland and Estonia there are six official iInformation business centers

 

BIZKON represents in St. Petersburg the centers of Kotka, Turku, Hameenlinna, Rakvere and Kohtla-Jarve (According to the Decrees of St. Petersburg govemment No.36 dated 19.01.2006, No.248 dated 20.06.2008 and No.1551 dated 12.12.2008).
